The program features dance artists from Mirramu Dance Company performing excerpts from their highly acclaimed Tango Lament production, Guest artist, Dan Crestani, (former dancer with Expressions Dance Company) will appear with Mirramu Dance Company in this performance and will sing some of his own songs about the Lake. There will also be appearing dancers from various community dance groups from the ACT and local regions. A highlight will be the Lake Dancers performing on the lake-bed a new work, The Awakening, by choreographer/performer, Albert David.

 

Workshops and presentations in Tango, Salsa and other world dance styles will be led by members of the Tango Social Club of Canberra, Raquel and Andrea Paez from the Salsabor Dance Company and Naomi Lieberfreund from Wild Earth Dance Theatre.

 

There will be gelati and coffee stalls, a sausage sizzle.  Artistic wares, many with a South American flavour, will be on sale at the colourful stalls, and sculptured installations will be on show under the trees. Members of the publring a picnic basket and celebrate this special place.
